A Hectic Fall

Hi again!

Although it's getting darker and darker outside, my situation is looking a little brighter after an unusually hectic fall. I have many good memories, because Dolly and I have had a lot of visitors in our home. The time with family and friends, including my parents and my parents-in-law, has pulled me through to the completion of my Master thesis. My thesis is finally in its printed version on my desk! The only remaining hurdle to overcome is my exam on the 8th of December, and I can crown myself a Master of Human Nutrition.

In October, our cat was run over by a car and thus broke her hip. She has now been "disabled" for 6 weeks, but she has recently started jumping onto chairs. I'm training her by forcing her up and down the stairs and making her jump onto chairs. Dolly left to the US and is enjoying Thanksgiving with her family this evening. Josefine and myself are home by ourselves, but we're doing OK.

Frankly, October was a relatively bad month. Our harddrive broke (and we lost a lot of files, including updates to book manuscripts and Episode 2 of the Extreme Makeover Series, which we are trying to recover), our cat broke, Dolly's beautiful brand new bike was stolen, and I can remember feeling somewhat overwhelmed with unfortunate incidents. I'm glad such things happen sometimes, because they make you appreciate more that which is truly important, such as being together.

I've started looking for employment, and I hope I can find something that I'll enjoy doing. I'll let you know how it goes!
